Hi all!

I’ve spent the last couple of months refreshing the chalets Piste and Peaks has to offer. Now instead of Chalet Cesa da Mont I have taken on a new chalet called Chalet Marmolada, formerly Galadriel but that was too… Elvish for me (or is it elfish i can never remember).

In Bansko, Bulgaria I’ve dropped Chalet Diana and taken on Chalet Dolomiti.

If you guys want to come for another holiday you better book quick. In the new Italian chalet which is much more beautiful than Cesa da Mont, you have all the same benefits as before but its filling up fast.

Alternatively if you want something with better value, the new super luxury chalet in Bansko is taking bookings and I will give you a great discount on your Italian holiday the following winter of 2018 if you book soon.

Here’s some info on the new Bulgarian Chalet:

The price is £275.00 per person, which includes:

• Queue jumping transfers to the main lift or to the next highest lift in our private 4×4 Delica minibus.
• Sofia Airport transfers for flight arrivals around midday and departures after 11am on Saturdays. Transfer time 2-2.5 hours depending on road conditions.
• Daily breakfasts (cooked 6 days, Continental 7 days).
• Daily afternoon tea with freshly baked cake or cookies.
• 3 course evening meals with complimentary wine, and kids drinks (6 evenings).
• Pre-booking of lessons, ski hire, activities and lift passes if required.
• Free wireless Internet access.
• Nintendo Wii & DVD player.
• Sauna & Jacuzzi.
• Complimentary drink each afternoon in the chalet bar.
• Event organization for Birthdays and special celebrations (free cakes, cocktails & entertainment).

Chalet Dolomiti is Piste and Peaks’ newest addition to Bansko and the most luxurious to date.
With Spacious apartment style rooms, fire places are fitted for staring at and drifting off to sleep after a day on the mountain. Bath room/shower rooms have hydro massages and toilets have a built in bidet function.
There is a duel Lounge room so kids have a separate place nearby where they can watch films while the parents can enjoy a complimentary drink each night by the fire and bar. On each floor there are 3 bathrooms per 10 guests when at full capacity.
NOTE: Not all rooms have hearths and en-suite hydro massage showers so book fast to secure your preferred rooms.
Two other bath/shower rooms are located at ground level near to the lounge room and Sauna. Downstairs has a large Mehana; traditional tavern style dining area with a free standing Fire & Grill, perfect for watching your meal cook in front of you. This area is ideal for parties, dancing and banquets which are encouraged.
Outside and across the BBQ courtyard is a small chalet which houses a Jacuzzi by a log fire, complete with chill out area, shower/WC and honesty bar, great if a couple want to escape the main group for a while. Here is where our on call masseuse, Bobby works his magic.

Bansko has a 16km blue, 75km of piste and Todorka peak is 2700m above sea level. Lunches cost around £8 and a pint costs around £2.

If you require a 6 day lift pass the cost is £140 and equipment hire (ski or board) is £60 payable with the booking balance and waiting for you when you arrive.

The Chalet to Piste transfer will take you to ski hire when you arrive and get you sorted with what you might need.

Basically in Bansko it will cost you £515 with flights and 6 day lift pass and you get a lot more for less. Whereas in Italy it will cost £885 based on flights costing roughly £100 each. Bansko is much livelier and has enough skiing for a week, you’ll love it! The dolomites can be hard work when you go too far away from the chalet as you may have noticed ;)

That just about covers it but if you have any questions, please just ask and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

With love of the mountains,
