The Chalet is in Alba de Canazei and is situated at an altitude of 1520m above sea level.
If you are an upper intermediate skier you can ski back to the chalet via an off -Piste/X-country ski track where as skiing out of the chalet involves a short ski across a field to the ski bus stops that take you to either Belvedere, Col de Rossi or Ciampac cable ways, close by. Most just walk to the nearest ski bus stop at about 50 meters away.
The chalet has 5 bedrooms and bathrooms, sleeping up to 12 (13 including a child’s bed) with easy access to an impressive 1220km of Piste which includes the Sella Ronda ski circuit and Marmolada glacier at 3265m. All covered by one pass.
Chalet Marmolada is situated 50 metres from the ski bus stop in the village of Penia which is the highest village in Val di Fassa at 1600 metres above sea level and both front and rear balconies boast spectacular views. Penia is a 15 minute drive to the Marmolada Glacier at 3343m. There is a great pizzeria almost next to the chalet and it’s a 15 minutes’ walk to the ski lifts and bars. The new Cable car lift, Col di Rossi, links Penia directly to the Sella Ronda and can move up to 200 people at once. The older lift next to it, Ciampac, links the Sella Ronda to the Panaramio ski area and Pozza di Fassa. The Ski Bus runs all day up and down the valley stopping at other resorts and villages which helps utilize the ski pass and immense range of terrain accessible. Accessing an impressive 1220km of piste including Marmolada glacier at 3265 meters and Great War tour, all covered by one pass.

The chalet is 150 m2 over 3 levels. Sleeping 6 people in one part and another 6 in an apartment downstairs accessed by internal stairs. The chalet has a spacious lounge room with an Italian Mussa and a modern kitchen with a charcoal/wood BBQ fireplace. There is a table for adults and another sitting eating area perfect for serving kids meals or sitting down to a game of cards with friends. The rooms are furnished classically Tirolese style with timber floors and a warm vibe. There is satellite TV and DVD’s to watch as well as free Wifi. With plenty of access to the balconies there are two twin rooms, a room with two bunk beds and a two doubles that all share three bathrooms. There is also a WC near the entrance hall. The downstairs apartment has a lounge area and a spacious kitchen.

Chalet Albetta is Piste and Peaks’ newest and cutest addition to The Sella Ronda and the most cost efficient to date.
There are three rooms sleeping up to 5 or 6 pax that have two bunk beds and a double bed. Sharing two shower rooms and as many WC’s.
The Lounge and dining room are conjoined and comfortable with a game console, TV and DVD’s. A walk-in entrance for drying boots and storing skis also doubles as an artisan area in the summer and ski tuning table in the winter.
There are internal and external stairs as well as balconies with extraordinary views.
Its possible to ski back to the chalet via a cross country track that is quite steep in places. The Ski bus stops in front of the chalet or you can walk 10 minutes down to the town of Alba where two brand new high speed lifts await.
